Open the Manage my Content and Devices page on your Kindle account and select the book, then from the Actions tab press Return this book. If you want to return a book, you’ll need a web browser whether on a PC, smartphone or tablet.

Press Go to Library and the book you borrowed will apear in your library. Select this option and the book will begin downloading to your device. Two options will appear, the price if you wanted to buy the book and an option that says Borrow for Free. Then scroll down the list presented and tap the book you’d like to borrow. You’ll be presented with a range of genres, so select the one that takes your fancy. To borrow a book, Open the Amazon Kindle Store on your eReader, Fire tablet or Fire Phone, and from the Settings menu select Lending Library. You can borrow one book per month, but there are no due dates to return but to be able to borrow another book you’ll have to return the one you already have loaned from the Kindle Owners Library. It lets you borrow books from the Kindle Lending library just like you might from your local library. The Kindle Owners Lending Library is open to anyone with a Kindle eReader, Amazon Fire tablet or Amazon Fire Phone that also has an Amazon Prime Membership. One of the great things about having an eReader is that there are plenty of ways to get free books, including the Kindle Owners Lending Library.
